MoveGH is a Ghana-focused rental and sales marketplace operated as a personal project. By using the platform you agree to these terms. If you disagree with any part, please don’t use the service.
We connect tenants with verified landlords and estate agents. Every listing on the site comes from an account whose documents we have checked. We do not act as a landlord, an agent, or a guarantor of any listing or transaction. Money paid as rent, advance, finder’s fees or sale prices is paid directly between the parties, never through us.
You must be 18 or older to create an account. You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for all activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you suspect an account has been compromised by contacting support.
Only verified accounts can publish. Until we have approved a lister’s documents their listings stay as drafts and are not visible to tenants; once approved, the listings they have prepared go live. Listers (landlords and estate agents) remain responsible for the accuracy of every listing they publish. Listings must describe a real property, with real photos, the correct location, and an honest price. We may remove listings that look fraudulent, misleading, or that breach Ghana’s Rent Act (notably the six-month advance cap effective from 1 April 2026). Repeat offenders lose their account.
Tenants must give accurate contact details when contacting a lister. You agree not to use the platform to harass listers or to scrape contact data for unsolicited messaging. Common sense applies: never pay any money before you have viewed the property in person and verified the lister’s identity.
We check identity documents and (for agents) real-estate or business credentials before issuing the “Verified” badge, and before any listing from that account can go live. The badge confirms that the documents were checked; it is not a guarantee of conduct, solvency, or the quality of any particular property. Always satisfy yourself that the person you contract with is professional and ethical before paying out any money, and never pay before viewing the property in person.
Tenants use MoveGH free of charge. Listers can publish up to two listings free; beyond that they either buy individual listing credits (GH¢ 20 per credit, 30-day validity) or take a monthly / quarterly / annual subscription. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Refunds are at our discretion; we are generous about them within 14 days of an honest billing mistake.
Subscriptions and listing credits are processed by Paystack. Rent, sale, finder’s fees and similar are paid directly between tenant and lister, and we don’t hold or escrow these amounts. Mobile-money payments are subject to the provider’s terms.
We collect the minimum personal data needed to run the platform. Contact details captured via the lead-capture form on a listing are shared with the lister of that listing only. We store sensitive fields (phone numbers, ID documents) encrypted at rest. You can export or delete your account from Settings.
No discriminatory, illegal, or fraudulent listings. No copyrighted photos you don’t own. No off-platform payment requests before a viewing. Listings that breach these rules will be removed without notice.
MoveGH is provided “as-is”. To the extent allowed by Ghanaian law, we’re not liable for losses arising from a listing, a transaction, or a relationship started on the platform. You contract with the other party directly and at your own risk.
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on the platform and re-acknowledged at next sign-in. The current version is shown at the top of this page.
